    Silver Spring 1945 B&O Railroad Station is on the National Register of Historic Places & on the Montgomery County Master Plan for Historic Preservation.
    The station is owned & run by Montgomery Preservation Inc., a countywide independent non-profit preservation organization. MPI's Mission is to preserve, protect, and promote Montgomery County's rich architectural heritage and historic landscapes.

    Held the first Saturday of the month, 10a.m. to 3p.m

    Tour the recently restored station and enjoy a walking tour, beginning at 10 a.m., of Silver Spring historic sites, led by Jerry A. McCoy, president of the Silver Spring Historical Society. Tour cost: $10, general public; free for Silver Spring Historical Society members. Reservations required: 301-565-2519 or sshistory@yahoo.com.
