Silver Spring B&O Station Joined 2024 Montgomery County Heritage Days Celebration

Silver Spring B&O Station was open to the public today as part of the 2024 Montgomery County Heritage Days.
Visitors listened to special guest Silver Spring Songster Rick Kanton from 1 until 3 pm. They enjoyed his signature blend of blues, rock, country, and rail songs on his electric slide, acoustic guitars, & shiny steel mandolin.
Visitors also had the opportunity to see the film “Next Stop Silver Spring” – the restoration story of our historic B&O RR Station, as aired by WETA, plus spot trains, play with a train table area, marvel at a HO scale model train display, and more!
